    Church Websites

    April 13, 2011

This was sent to me a few days ago:

"Church websites are woeful. We’re continually asked how churches can make their websites better. And I’m not talking about the cool churches with Twitter and video and a pastor’s blog. I’m talking about the churches with a “current” calendar from December 2008. The churches where a volunteer created the site and it shows. The sites that still have animated GIFs."
    - Kevin D. Hendricks

Read on to hear some important thoughts on strategic planning.

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

this entry couldn't have come at a more perfect time as my church is planning to restart our website (an older site that used a free webhost was put up a few years back is still floating around the internet; we haven't been able to take it down because the person who made it isn't at our church anymore x_x). if you see our old site, it definitely falls under the type of site that mr hendricks is describing. thanks for posting his blog. i'll definitely use it as a tool to plan out our site.
